Frequently Asked Questions

What can I put in a dumpster?

Typical household trash. Rented dumpsters/trash dumpster containers are to be used for normal construction and demolition trash, including items such as siding, drywall, flooring, roofing materials, carpeting, wires, drywall, and more. There are prohibited items, and if removal is required for these items it can be discussed during the rental agreement. Example items that may need to be discussed include refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, dehumidifiers, pressurized tanks, TVs, computer screens, mattresses, batteries, paint, and tires.

Additional fees also apply for removal of appliances containing Freon.  Hazardous materials are not allowed.

What size dumpster do I need?

Dumpster size depends on how large of a job.  Most home clean-outs only use a 10-yard container, but larger homes and projects occasionally require larger ones.  Feel free to call our office to consult on the right size container for your project
 

What if I go over the allowed tonnage?

There is a $175.00 per ton overage fee which applies if the weight of the container exceeds quoted tonnage.
